Renaissance Global Logistics (RGL) in Detroit announced it will renew its lease and expand its local footprint by 43 percent at Northline Industrial Center located at 38481 W. Huron River Dr. in Romulus.
Savills, a London-based global real estate provider, represented RGL in the new lease, which adds 347,383 square feet to the company’s presence, bringing the total to 803,473 square feet. In addition to the new expansion, Savills confirmed a tenant improvement allowance for RGK to improve the site and building.
“RGL is expanding rapidly and needed to increase its footprint to accommodate the surging demand for third-party logistics from its growing client base that includes Fortune 100 companies including General Motors,” says Greg Bockart, executive managing director at Savills.
“RGL has had a long-term presence in a building at Northline Industrial Center that fits its specific needs. Many of the options within the region that have the capacity for over 500,000 square feet of industrial space are not suitable, or they are newer spec buildings only available at a premium.”
RGL is a supply chain and logistics solution provider specializing in warehousing. It is a subsidiary of The James Group, a privately held, minority certified provider of global supply chain management, logistics, and e-commerce services in Detroit.
